Teaching & Mentoring

 Arnold Thomas Fanning holds an MA in Modern English & American Literature from University College Dublin, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing with Merit from Manchester Metropolitan University.

He has taught a creative writing programme to adults in Tallaght Library for the Health Service Executive and has been a Visiting Lecturer in the English Departments of University College Cork and Dublin City University. He has been appointed Writer in Residence for Carlow County Council Arts Office and Carlow College, St Patrick’s, and has been a Creative Writing Project Supervisor for final year English students in Maynooth University. Most recently he has taught memoir at the Irish Writers Centre, for the Skibbereen Arts Festival, and has run a week-long Non-Fiction Workshop as part of the Stinging Fly Summer School.
